Maybe Our Girlfriends Are Our Soulmates and Guys Are Just People to Have Fun With

Feeling overwhelmed with gratitude in my heart for being blessed with amazing friendships. I wanted to take a moment to give a shout to my girlfriends who live home in Northern California and let them know how much I cherish our friendship. I’ve been living in LA for almost 8 months now, and it’s been incredibly difficult having to miss out on bi-monthly girls nights in which my girls & I cook and dine together, concerts that my best friend and I from high school attend every year, birthdays, holiday parties and other events. I make it home whenever I can but sometimes I wish I could just close my eyes and be home in NorCal. What I love about my friends is that no matter how long it’s been since we’ve seen each other, we always pick up right where we left off. Distance hasn’t changed a thing.

“Though miles may lie between us, we’re never far apart, for friendship doesn’t count the miles, it’s measured by the heart.”

Melissa Barretto: What would I do without you? You’re my sunshine, you always know how to make me laugh and there’s never a dull moment when we’re together. Some of my fondest memories have been with you: meeting one of our favorite R&B singers together, being apart of each other’s college graduation celebrations, my epic birthday celebration, shopping dates, sleepovers and so many other fun times. I hope you know that you are very special to me and I feel thankful each day to call you my bestie :) I’m glad we’ve kept in touch since our high school days and I can’t wait to create even more memories with you!

Melissa Brown: You are always so encouraging and loving. Whenever I feel like I have such a long ways to go in my career, you remind me of how far I’ve come. You sure know how to make a girl feel great about herself. I wish I could save and frame all the sweet texts and messages you send me… you are truly one of a kind and I admire you for so many reasons. Love being around you and your positive energy. Keep working hard. Proud of you. Love you Mel.

Anyone who knows you is lucky for that reason ;)

I’m so blessed to have met you age 12 and since then witness our friendship grow and blossom into something I will cherish forever. You’ve been by my side through the laughs, cries, fights and celebrations… I love you more than you know… you’re family. I love that even though you moved to Oregon when we were in high school, we’ve still managed to keep in touch and make time for one another during visits. You have the biggest heart and you work so hard to make your loved ones proud, I want you to know I see it all and am SO SO proud of you.
